Apollo SRI, LLC is a holding company
commercializing the research of Dr. Christopher Landry. Apollo BioSciences,
Inc., the company’s first spinout, is focused on commercializing
a drug delivery platform based upon acid-prepared mesoporous silica
(“APMS”).
Apollo’s primary focus is
on the cancer drug market. Initial products in their pipeline include
APMS loaded with doxorubicin and APMS loaded with dacarbazine. Additionally,
Apollo is researching loading APMS with other proven cancer drugs
and silencing RNA (siRNA).
To date, Apollo SRI has raised $130,000 via three EPSCoR SBIR Phase
0 awards and a STTR Phase I award from NIH.
The VCET team has served as invaluable mentors
in helping us take early stage research and transform it into commercially
viable products. In particular, we are grateful for their assistance
with the federal grant process which was critical in getting us
off the ground.
We chose the Vermont because of the University.
UVM offers exceptional resources, including the affiliated Vermont
Cancer Center, and has been a good partner helping Apollo grow.
