Andrew Stickney

VCET Vice President

Andrew Stickney has served as the Vice President of VCET since 2011. In this role, Andrew co-manages the Vermont Seed Capital Fund, a $5M permanently revolving seed capital venture fund targeting early stage technology and high growth businesses in Vermont, co-manages the Burlington co-working spaces, and is a board member or observer at several portfolio companies.

While at VCET, Andrew started Tech @ Vermont, a series of networking events to connect entrepreneurs throughout Vermont to various local and statewide resources; UVM Start, a student crowdfunding program connecting UVM student entrepreneurs with alumni for concept capital and mentoring; and MiddEntrepreneurs, a month-long intensive course at Middlebury College that helps students turn their entrepreneurial ideas into actual businesses through lean entrepreneurship methods.

Andrew also serves as a reviewer for Epscor and the National Science Foundation (NSF) on Phase 0, 1, & 2 grants respectively.

Current board and adviser roles include: Bridj, Budnitz Bicycles, Bitybean, Aprexis Health Solutions, LaunchVT, the Epscor Innovation Fund, and the VSECU, Vermont’s largest financial cooperative.

Prior to serving as the Vice President at VCET, Andrew worked with Altria Inc. in marketing and distribution. In 2007 Andrew earned a BS and MBA from the University of Vermont.

In 2013 Andrew was named a top 30 under 30 Rising Star by VT Business Magazine. In his free time, Andrew enjoys motorcycling, biking, kitesurfing, traveling, running, and spending time with his dog, “Slinky”.
