Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies
The Vermont Small Business Development Center (SBDC), partially
funded by the SBA, Vermont Department of Economic Development,
and Vermont State Colleges is a non-profit partnership of government, education, and business.

The goal is to spur Vermont’s economy by helping small businesses succeed and grow.  The SBDC’s mission is to strengthen existing business entities and assist start-ups through high quality, no cost counseling, and high quality, affordable training programs.

The Vermont SBDC serves a wide range of technology-driven businesses throughout the state.  Our client base includes firms in the fields of internet technology, bio-tech, photonics, fluid dynamics, electronics, new materials and other disciplines employing extensive engineering, mathematics and science. Additionally, any innovative Vermont venture seeking funding from the UVM EPSCoR program or federal Small Business Innovation Research SBIR Program is eligible for our assistance.

The Center has contracted with the Vermont SBDC to provide specialized grant writing assistance to VCET clients.  These services include identifying SBIR/STTR and other federal grants, matching the grants with VCET clients, and assisting with the grant application process.
